Facility
Our Production Facility – Empathetic & Fair Trade in Action
Shop is a Fair Trade and sustainable manufacturing unit, registered under the Societies Act, and committed to ethical, transparent, and community-centered production.
We have established a vertically integrated supply chain that upholds Fair Labour Standards, uses sustainable fabrics, and features artisan-printed textiles. Our approach is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and long-term relationships with the artisan communities we serve.
Village-Based, Decentralized Production
We work closely with traditional artisans involved in:
- Hand Block Printing
- Hand Embroidery
- Other Craft-Based Skills
Our model actively supports decentralized production, enabling artisans—especially women—to work from their own villages and maintain their cultural identity while earning a fair livelihood.
Empowering Women Through Skill & Ownership
In Pawalia village, we’ve partnered with a local Women’s Self-Help Group (SHG) to establish a Block Printing Unit, supported by BOSCH India Social Engagement.
Women artisans received professional training in block printing, and today, they independently manage and supply high-quality printed textiles through this unit—creating a powerful example of self-reliance through skill-building.
At Artisan Shop, we believe that sustainable manufacturing is not just about products—it’s about people, process, and purpose.
